On February 22, 2025, we held our first in-person meeting with the partners of the Erasmus+ SAFE AND STRONG project. Although much of the work had already been done remotely and coordinated through online meetings, it was extremely valuable to finally meet face to face and agree on the next steps of the project.
On the same day, we also organized the first educational workshop for athletes and coaches. By taking advantage of an international training camp, we were able to reach participants from Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Kosovo, Sweden, Greece, and Japan.
Among the participants were our Olympic gold medalist Andreja Leški and her coach Luka Kuralt, which gave the workshop special significance. The lecture was delivered by sports expert Jožef Šimenko, DSc who is also one of the experts contributing to the preparation of the project’s upcoming e-book.
The workshop focused on raising awareness about safe Body Weight Regulation, healthy body composition, and the long-term development of young athletes.
